OFFICIAL: URA FC, David Obua partways after 5 months.

Uganda Revenue Authority Football club have made it official after partying ways with David Obua as their head after five months of being in charge of the team.

“After careful consideration and mutual agreement, URA FC and Head Coach David Obua have decided to part ways, terminating his one-year contract five months into his tenure. Alongside him, his first assistant Peter Byaruhanga Adyeri and fitness coach Kawa have also left the club.” Reads part of statement released by Club.

The former Uganda Cranes star and now turned coach, Obua, joined tax collectors owned club in December of last year, replacing the late Sam Timbe.

At the time of leaving, URA FC has been struggling with getting results and leaves with them a tik-tak style of play as it has been labeled as ‘Obua’s ball.

Robert Mukasa will assume the role of caretaker coach for the rest of the season, supported by Ilic Milosh, Allan Owiny, Robert Ssentongo, and Goalkeeping Coach Swaibu Ssebagala.
During his time with URA FC, which began in November 2023, Obua led the team in 20 matches across all competitions, achieving 8 wins, 8 losses, and 4 draws.
