UPL: KCCA FC massacre Mbarara City FC to close gap on top.

Kampala City Capital Authority Football club – KCCA FC has massacred Mbarara City FC at Omondi Stadium to close gap on top of log of Uganda Premier League on match day 24.

KCCA FC’s goals came from Ashraf Mugume Fadiga, Mohammed Shaban (2) and Etienne Katenga to seal victory for Abdalah Mubiru coached side.

Mbarara City FC got the first opportunity of scoring, but Yunus Sibila’s free kick was punched by Anthony Emojong into corner kick as early as 2nd minute.

Ashraf Mugume gave KCCA FC lead in 15th after scoring from free kick.

Muhammad Shabana missed on chance to double the lead for hosts in 23th minute with effort going inches away from the lower goal post.

At exactly half hour mark, Etienne Katenga Openga was brought down inside the penalty area and referee Nabada Shamim made no mistake and pointed at the penalty area, Shaban stood firm to send Mutebi Ronald on wrong side to double lead for the citizens of capital City.

Shaban Muhammad completed his brace five minutes into second half after Mbarara City FC’s defenders failing to clear the ball in the box.

Katenga made it 4 -0, in 54th minutes and his goal proved to be the last one in the game which sealed victory for KCCA FC.

Usama Arafat could have recorded himself on scoresheet more than once but had a bad day in office as he missed a lot of scoring opportunities.

The victory takes KCCA FC to a tally of 38 points and are just six points below table leaders, Kitara FC.

Meanwhile, Mbarara City FC continue with their poor run on away games.
