Zesco United confirm the signing of a second Ugandan player in the transfer window.

Zambian Super League giants, Zesco United have acquired the signature of Ugandan strker, Alfred Leku.

Leku has inked a one year contract with Zesco United.

“ZESCO United is delighted to announce the signing of Ugandan striker, Alfred Leku on a 1-year deal subject to completing medicals. Cub statement.

“Leku is expected to beef up ZESCO United’s striking force following the retirement of veteran striker Winston Kalengo.”

The 24 year old striker becomes the second Ugandan signing after Kezeroni Kizito in the ongoing transfer window.

Leku joined Arua Hills two years ago, when they were still playing in tge Fufa Big league but last season, he manged to score 11 goals.

He has previously featured for Vipers SC, Ondupraka FC, Proline Fc, Express FC AND Jangwani Galaxy of Botswana.

Davis Kasirye and Umar Kasumba are other Ugandans who have played for Zesco United before .
