Yusuf Mukisa joins Nairobi City Stars.

Former Vipers Sports Club and Uganda Under 20 versatile defender, Yusuf Mukisa Lubowa joins the Kenya Premier League outfit on two years working contract until 2022.


Yusuf Mukisa featured for Proline Football Club in their failed pursue to stay in top-flight league last season and returns to the club he conducted trials within January 2020 but the deal didn’t get materialised.

“Mukisa is utility back who is comfortable as a left, centre or right back. He is however coming into fill the right-back position vacated by Kelvin Okumu.” Teams coordinator, Samson Otieno told the club website.

“We are certain his arrival will solidify our backline. I welcome him to Simba wa Nairobi.” He added.

Yusuf Mukisa is Proline FC soccer academy graduate and played for Uganda U20 national team ( Hippos) that played against Ghana in 2012 during the qualifying rounds for U20 African Nations Championship.

He guided Vipers SC to their second Uganda Premier League title under coach Edward Golola in 2014/15 season.

He has previously played for SC Villa, BUL FC and Viper SC.
