Moroccan Botola giants, Wydad Casablanca have officially parted ways with Spanish born coach Juan Carlos Garrido after a poor run of play in the league which saw them draw with FAR Rabat lately.
“Wydad have terminated the contract of Juan Carlos Garrido after the latter received all his financial dues,” Wydad statement.
“The club would like to thank Garrido for his work during his stint with Wydad.”
Juan Carlos replaced former Uganda Cranes gaffer French Sebastian Desabre Loius on 25th February 2020.
Garrido has left Wydad AC trailing 4 points behind their fierce rivals Raja Casablanca, with Raja have a game in hand, sitting on top of table with 45 points from 22 rounds of play.
Garrido guided WAC to this years semi finals of CAF Champions league and set to face Egyptian Al Ahly next in a two legged tie.
Wydad Casablanca have appointed Argentina Miguel Gamondi Angel as interim coach.
Gamondi has previously coached UMS Alger of Algeria and PSL reigning Champions Mamelodi Sundowns between 2005 and 2006.
He has been working as Wydad AC technical director, a position he assumed this year of 2020.
