Former Express Football Club striker and club legend now under the technical team of Wasswa Bbosa at the red Eagles, is eagerly waiting the start of next season because he can’t wait to mentor more strikers as the club badly needs as many goals.
The former forward as player joined the club from their Arch rivals SC Villa in 2001 and he confesses as an Express FC fan diehard.
“Its so unfortunate Covid-19 has interfered with our plans but not to worry, I can’t wait to mentor the squad especially the forwards, when the time is right.” Hassan Mubiru told Club website before adding.
“We need as many goals next season and I believe we have the right players to do the job.”
The 41 year old Coach, while playing for the red Eagles managed to win three Uganda Cups 2001, 2003 and 2006 and sweeping three straight league golden boots in 2001, 2002 and 2003, averaging 20 goals per season.
Last Season, Express FC scored a total of 30 goals and Frank Kalanda was top scorer of the club with 12 goals.
But the Club had already confirmed the departure of 18 players and expected to be so busy in this ongoing transfer window.
