Last night of Sunday, KCCA Football Club unveiled their sixth signig, a center forward Brian Aheebwa from Mbarara City Football club on a three years contract.
The gaffer Mike Mutebi Hilary believes the striker they have brought will score goals and win titles for the Club and Competition wil not be inevitable at KCCA FC for him.
“We have brought him to score goals, he is going to compete and big clubs must always have competition amongst its players so if he competes and plays well he will start. ” Mike Mutebi told KCCA FC TV on Sanyuka.
“And that doesnot give problem and may good headache, having so many good players at any time I can select a couple and deliver then there other time I select others. “
“The average age is 21, so he is still angry to work hard and perfect his acts.” He added.
“So, it will be good for me to have that headache and for the club, that if somebody gets injured you would suffer because you know there is able replacement in that area, he has been brought in to score goals and he will start.”
“If he starts and performs well it is a nicest position simple because we not brought him to mark them, have brought him to score goals and make us win trophies.” He said.
“Like last season our topscorer was mike Mutyaba who is not a center forward but I had to convert him into a forward and these ones are natural center forwards and ‘things of saying that when Serunkuma left we have not been scoring goals’, I believe he will do it.” He concluded.
Aftr losing Allan Okello and Patrick Kaddu, the sources of the goals for the club depened and Sadat Anaku whom they thought could rely on was injury prone and young who needs more time to acclimatise to topflight league football.
But with the acquisition of Charles Lwanga from SC Villa, Ashraf Mugume, Anukani Bright and Stefano loro Mazengo who are offensive, hope the creativity bit of the club has been sorted out ahead of next season.
