Wakiso Giants Football Club have released Fahad Kawooya whose contract got expired as their start preparation for forthcoming season.
Goalkeeper Derrick Emukule and Saturo Edward are other two players who have parted ways with purple sharks.
“Wakiso Giants can confirm that Fahad Kawooya and Derrick Emukule will leave the club following expiry of their contracts.” Part of Communication from Club.
“The decision not to renew the duo’s extension was reached following a board meeting held on June 4, 2022 that considered a lot of factors including their disciplinary records while with the club.”
Fahad Kawooya was part of squad that helped the team earn promotion to top flight league in 2022.
Derrick Emukule joined Wakiso based in 2019/20 season from Ndejje University.
Meanwhile, center back Edward Saturo joined Wakiso Giants in 2020 from Luwero United.
Unlike Fahad Kawooya and Derrick Emukule whose contracts had expired, Saturo’s contract was left with one year but the club decided to terminate the contract on basis of indiscipline.
