Wagima was named Most Valuable player (MVP) in the 2018/19 Stanbic Uganda Cup, despite losing the final to eventual winners Proline Football Club.

At Bright Stars, he will have to tussle it out with Gowin Bule and Simon Tamale for starting place between the goalposts.

Soltilo Bright Stars FC was among the 11 clubs that were approved by FUFA Excom to change the names.

And they have already acquired the services of Jamil Nvule Kisitu, Ibrahim Kibumba, Sadam Masereka and Samuel Sekamatte as they continue to beam their squad for the upcoming season.

Derick Ngobi and Sulaiman Sebunza have extended their contracts with Bright Stars.
