Uganda Crested Cranes hoping to have a better start to their Women African Cup of Nations Qualifiers when they host Algeria Women team today Wednesday, 20th September at Fufa technical center Njeru.
Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi, who is in charge of coaching the team together with his players target a first leg advantage before they fly out for a return leg in Oran, a week later.
Ayub is having a full house after the arrival of Sandra Nabweteme and Aisha Natongo to the training.
Besides the destruction the team had after the Federation named Abdallah Mubiru the assistant Coach on interim basis and later turning down the appointment before Ayub together with Oliver Mbekeka were reinstated back to be in charge of the team, they have had a good preparations.
The team is expected to rely on Fazila Ikwaput, Sandra Nabweteme and Najjemba in looking for goals if they are to down Fennecs of Algeria.
Meanwhile, Algeria will rely on their captain Bouhani Ben Ziane in searching for goals who plies her trade with home based team, Afak Relizane.
Bouhani has scored 30 goals from 54 games for her country.
If Crested Cranes negotiates this tie over two legs will meet the winner between Ethiopia and Burundi in final qualifying round to the tournament which will be hosted for a second consecutive time.
Uganda were part of final tournament in the previous edition in Morocco.
