Vipers SC unveils Nigerian striker – Abubakar Lawal.

The five times Uganda Premier League Champions, Vipers Sports Club yesterday – 18th July, 2022 unveiled a Nigerian born striker, Lawal Abubakar to bolster their striking position.

Lawal signed a two year contract with the Venoms which will see play for them until 2024.

The 26 year old striker has been Rwanda Premier League outfit, AS Kigali, and he comes as a free agent after seeing off his two year contract with Kigali based club.

He is excited to the Uganda Premier League reigning champions and vows to help the team get into group stages of CAF champions league.

“I feel happy and at home. They have showed me love ever since l arrived here,” Lawal told Vipers SC website.

“I’m here to give my best. I know the club hasn’t been in the CAF Champions League group stages. So, am here to help and fight to make that dream come true, Inshallah.”

He has previously played for Kano Pillars , Wiiki Tourist and AS Kigali.

Lawal becomes the seventh signing of Robertinho Oliviera Coached side after Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Omadjondo Osomba, Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Ashraf Mandela and Abdu Lumala.
