URA FC name Simon Masaba as new Head coach.

Uganda Premier League club, URA FC have appointed retired Uganda Cranes player Simon Masaba as their next head coach on interim basis.

“Uganda Cranes U23 Assistant Coach, former URA FC legend & Club Captain Massa Simoene takes charge of the tax collectors on an interim basis.” Reads part of the statement released by the club.

Masaba replaces Sam Simbwa after his 3 year contract got expired at the end of the season and negotiations on renewing it hit a dead end and will not continue vwitg the tax collectors in the upcoming season.

The former player played at the right back for URA FC for six years and was their captain.

He will be in charge of the team ahead of the CAF engagements were URA FC is representing Uganda in Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup that starts next month of SepuSepte with Preliminary rounds.
