UPL: Vipers SC, SC Villa, URA FC climax first round of the league on high.



Uganda Premier League continued with match day 15, yesterday 17th March as big teams finalised their first round of the league on high.

*Vipers SC 1 – 0 KCCA FC

Vipers SC defeated KCCA FC in a close contest curtesy of first half own goal by Peter Magambo after poor communication with his goalkeeper, Charles Lukwago.

The win takes Venoms to 33 points as it keeps their chances of fighting to defend their title alive and are just 3 points behind table leaders, URA FC.

Meanwhile, KCCA FC remained in the 4th position standing on 27 points.

*Bright Stars FC 1 – 2 SC Villa.

The 16 times league Champions, Sports Club Villa completed the first round of the league with a win over Bright Stars played at Kavumba Recreation ground.

Wagima gave SC Villa a lead as early as 7th minute through an own goal before Joseph Akandanwaho bringing game level again after one minute.

Nicolas Kabonge came off the bench to score the winner for Joogo to make it 2-1 in 66th minute.

*Onduparaka FC 0 – 3 URA FC.

URA FC out played Onduparaka FC in a (0-3) score at Aba Bet Stadium as they continued to tighten their grip on top of the table.

Steven Mukwala bagged a brace in 22′, 64′ before Cromwell Rwothomio scoring the 3rd one to end the game (0-3).

URA FC is on top of the 16 team table log with 36 points.

*Mbarara City FC 1 – 1 BUL FC.

New gaffer at Mbarara City FC Charles Livingston Mbabazi started off his second term at the club with a 1- all draw.

Swalik Segujja scored for Mbarara City FC in 15′ before Oketch grabbing the leveler in 17′ for BUL FC.
