UPL: NEC FC hand Magera rude welcome to KCCA FC job.

NEC FC has handed a rude welcome to Coach Jackson Magera in his new role as KCCA FC head coach as the winless streak continues.

Two half time goals from Cromwell Rwothomio gave the new league entrants an edge over struggling KCCA FC side in an epic of the game played under floodlights on the evening of Thursday on match day five of 2023/24 season of Uganda Premier League.

Jackson Magera was named the head coach by KCCA FC on interim basis as the search for Sergio Traguil permanent replacement continues following his sacking.

Cromwell Rwothomio looped the ball over Emojong in 5th minute to put Mbalangu’s charges in front.

In 19th minute, Ashraf Mugume created space for himself to shoot at the goal but Samson Kirya was equal to his challenge to deny the Kasasiro boys the leveler.

Mustafa Kizza’s tried to shoot from the freekick in the 24th minute but the ball was well collected by the goalkeeper.

Rwothomio doubled the lead to complete his brace in 27th minute after heading on Sulaiman Sesazi’s freekick.

Anthony Emojong was called into save in 74th minute after denying Ibrahim Kayanja from close range to extend the lead.

KCCA FC remain without a point after match day five game and play next Arua Hills SC in Paridi Stadium in Adjumani.

Meanwhile NEC FC move to 12 points from opening five game and only losing once against SC Villa.
