UPL: Kitara FC, NEC FC, URA FC secure big wins.

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2023/24 season continued with match day two as Kitara FC, NEC FC and URA FC picking very big wins.

*Kitara FC 1 – 0 UPDF FC.

Kitara FC defeated UPDF FC on their first home game of the season at Maddy Masindi Stadium.

Christopher Kamagu scored in his own net in 37th minute to give royals a second successive victory after SC Villa win on the opening day.

The Victory takes Kitara FC to a tally of six points from two games and keeping their target of finishing in to five positions alive.

*NEC FC 5 – 0 Busoga United.

NEC FC ran riot over troubled Busoga United side by putting five passed them as they hosted the game at Astro turf of Philip Omond stadium, Lugogo.

Marvin Kavuma bagged a brace in 8′, 90′ respectively as Rashid Okocha, Allan Mugalu and Brian Kayanja also appearing on score sheet once.

The Victory helps Mbalangu’s coaches team to go top of a 16 team table with maximum points and having a better goal difference.

*URA FC 2 – 0 Gaddafi FC

Amidst saga surrounding URA FC head coach job, the managed to pick a win over Gaddafi FC at Metha Stadium.

Moses Aliro opened his scoring account at the tax collectors with a 29th minute goal before defender, Najib Fesali doubling the lead in 50th minute.

Fred Muhumuza who is currently in charge of team registers his first league victory of the season.

URA FC opened their season with a barren stalemate in Bombo against the army side, UPDF FC.
