UPL: Kitara FC come from behind to defeat Gaddafi to maintain their perfect run.

Kitara Football Club needed to come from goal down to defeat Gaddafi FC to maintain their perfect run in a Uganda Premier League game played in the afternoon of Friday at Gaddafi Arena stadium.

Benson Muhindo could have found the first goal for Gaddafi FC but missed a clear cut chance to maintain the game level in 27th minute.

Later on, Thomas Ochungo head on a cross from Kiyemba Ibrahim to give the home side a lead in 34′ and the score remained 1-0 at half time.

Living Kabon came close to finding the leveler but his free kick effort was palmed away by Abdu Magada in 51′.

Dennis Omedi levelled matters in 59 after Living Kabon doing the hard to set him up.

George Senkaba scored the second goal for the royals in 74′ after Solomon Okwalinga creating space and setting him up to tap in the ball to give Kitara FC a lead for the first time.

Brian Senyondo’s charges managed to protect the lead until final whistle and walked away with their straight third win of the season.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi FC finds themselves in a drop zone after failing to collect any single point from the opening three games in 2023/24 season.
