Ugandan football agent, Ronnie Santos set free without Charges after match fixing allegations.

Niwagira Ronald Mwine a.k.a Ronnie Santos, a Ugandan football agent has been set free by Magistrate Winfrida Onkunya of Kisumu court without any charge on match fixing allegations.

On 24th January 2021 Ronnie Santos was arrested after Western Stima FC chairman, Laban alerted the police on matters of Ronnie trying to influence the outcome of FKF Premier League match between Western Stima against KCB FC.

And according to club chairman Laban, Ronnie wanted Western Stima to lose the match and had tabled $5,000 for players and match officials if the game go in his favor.

He has been detailed in Kisumu central police station and was at a time denied court bail pending on further investigations in the matter.

On Monday 1/02/2021 he was released after the complaint (Western Stima FC Chairman, Jobita Laban) decided not to pursue the matter further.

“I want to tell the court that the complainant has decided not to pursue the matter further. We therefore request for the miscellaneous file to be closed,” Kwanza told the court as quoted by Capital.
