Uganda’s under 20 national football team will play two international matches in preparations for the forthcoming Total U20 AFCON, which will take place in Mauritania starting 14th February to 4th March.
Tanzania will host a three Nations Pre-mini tournament starting on 1st February and climax on 10th, it will be composed of Uganda the reigning Champions of Cecafa U20 Championships and Cosafa member country, Namibia.
Morley Byekwaso’s coached team has already engaged themselves with KCCA FC in two practice matches and all ending in Hippos favor (3-2, 4-3).
They will further play more practice matches against URA FC and Vipers SC on Saturday 30th and 31st January respectively before departing on Monday 1st February for the Pre-mini tournament in Tanzania.
Uganda is drawn in group A alongside hosts Mauritania, Cameroon and Mozambique and the winner of the 3 groups, qualifies to the semi finals as the best runner up among the groups joins them.
Byekwaso will name his 25 man squad on Sunday 31st, he is going to use in the final tournament.
