On September 26th. 2020, Uganda Beach Soccer Association hold their 8th Annual General Meeting at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel in Lubaga prior to the FUFA annual General Assembly set to take place on 17th October 2020 at Silver springs.
The beach soccer game was comomerate it’s 10th anniversary in the country and is among the 34 associations affiliated to FUFA.

During the assembly, UBSA chairman Deo Mutabazi has commended the work done over the 10 years existence of the game and noted that the game has had the lows and highs over that period.
“From unrecognised tournaments, we set up competitive leagues for both men and women, set up a national team and spread the game not only in Uganda but even with our neighbours in the region.” Quoted by FUFA website.
“If you look at how we started, there is definitely a reason to be proud. There were challenges at the beginning but the success attained over the ten years is a basis for us to be proud.” Mutabazi added.
The first chairman of UBSA, Mr Hamid Juma who doubles as the FUFA Excom member who was the guest of honour on behalf of the FUFA President, (Eng: Moses Magogo) together with FUFA finance officer Kalema ‘Blater’ Muhammod were awarded for the great works doen towards the game.
Sande Moni picked the award for Kalema on his behalf.
“As FUFA, we laud UBSA for the efforts in promoting the game. Personally, I have been part of the journey and I know the challenges we have faced. But I’m very proud that we have been able to carry on. FUFA is committed towards improving the game both on and off the pitch.” remarked Hamid Juma.
The assembly passed 871,000,000 Ugx for 2020/21 year.
