Uganda Premier League reigning Champions, Vipers Sports Club have completed the signing of top Nigerian striker, Lawal Abubakar as reported by New times of Rwanda.
Lawal joins Vipers SC on a two year contract from Rwandan club, AS Kigali as a free agent.
The 26-year-old celebrated the Peace Cup triumph wearing a champions’ shirt with a farewell message on his back that reads, “It’s not good to say a goodbye message but to say we should meet in the future. Insha Allah”.
He is seen as a possible replacement for Congolese striker, Cesar Manzoki who is about to join Simba SC.
Lawal Abubakar involved in 18 goals while playing for As Kigali last season, scoring 8 and recorded 10 assists to his name.
He has previously played for Kano Pillars, Wiiki Tourist and has represented Nigeria under- 20 national team.
