Tonny Mawejje humbled for the Police FC captain armband.

Uganda Cranes veteran Midfielder, Tonny Mawejje will captain Police Football Club for the upcoming 2020/21 season.

The 33 year old Midfielder was confirmed yesterday 28th/10/2020 as next club’s captain for the two years he will be with the cops.

Mawejje who is  on for second stint with Police FC, will be assisted by Dennis Rukundo, Joseph Sentume and Samuel Kayongo in that order.

“Am extremely humbled and accept the Captaincy Role @UgPoliceFC  ahead of the new season.

With such a great team behind me and Football administration, we are committed to deliver the best.” Mawejje tweeted.

“I will give it my best as usual and together with my teams, we promise good results to both fans and management.” Added.

Tonny Mawejje will be playing in Ugandan league again after last featured for URA FC  close to 11 years ago and was part of the Police FC sqaud that won the only and last 2006 Uganda Super league for Police FC.

Mawejje has  also been included in the 22 man squad Uganda Cranes team of locally based players who are to start preparations for the South Sudan double header next month for African cup of Nations Qualifiers.
