Gor Mahia FC new signing and former Vipers ace forward, Tito Okello has revealed on the reason why he decided to play for the Bright Stars of South Sudan ahead of Uganda.
Okello is among several Ugandan players that are set to change alligence to play for South Sudan due to stiff competition in the Uganda Cranes team.
Toha Rashid, Nafian Alionza, Ivan Wani and Makueth Wol, all have confirmed their willingness to play for South Sudan and many of them already included in South Sudan’s team to play a friendly game against Cameroon on 10th October 2020.
The lanky forward, Okello, says he is going turn out for South Sudan, because they showed interest and believes in him.
“South Sudan believes in me, that’s why they made that official move to invite me to play for them,” told Gor Mahia Media.
The Midfielder will be hoping to make his debut against Cameroon next month but says it’s a dream to play for the national team.
“The call up means a lot to me because playing for a national team is not something small and to be precise, it’s a dream of every player.” He added.
