Thursday Football Tips: Double-Up On Dutch & Turks

Hearts’ win over RFS last time out has set them up nicely for a double-header with Italian side Fiorentina who make the trip to Tynecastle tonight.

The Jambos’ recent form doesn’t make for good reading; seven defeats in their last 10 (LLLWLLLWWL), but the Italians’ is just as bad with just one win in their last 10 (DDDLDDLLWL) so that should give Robbie Neilson’s men some hope at a packed Tynecastle.

Hearts may be sitting 7th in the Premiership but two of their three defeats have come against Celtic and Rangers and but for a sloppy 1-0 defeat to Livingston they’d be where you’d expect in third place.

At 7/1 (SBK) the Jam Tarts look a big price to pull off a result against a side that have failed to win a game away from home this season and have scored just once in five road trips this term. On the Draw No Bet market Hearts are 24/5 or 9/5 on the Double Chance.

In the same group, Istanbul Basaksehir look good acca material in Latvia at RFS. They’re short at 2/5 but should rack up a few goals in the process.

Pair them up with AZ who host Cypriots Apollon Limassol in Alkmaar for a 10/11 Double at SBK.

Europe has provided some of West Ham’s best moments so far this season as they’ve toiled domestically. They could have some more success on their travels tonight in Belgium against Anderlecht who are also having a patchy campaign in the Pro League.

The importance of topping the group means you avoid a play-off round so the Hammers will be keen to wrap up top spot. Keep an eye on team news but if David Moyes goes strong then they’re more than capable of winning at a tidy 21/20.

In the Europa LeagueMan Utd are in Cyprus where Neil Lennon’s Omonia Nicosia await. The 2-1 scoreline at Real Sociedad flattered Lennon’s side and they’ll do well to get anything out of a tough group. United at just 2/9 should get the job done but are just too short although a win to nil appeals at 5/6.

Arsenal too are a tad on the small side at 1/4 to beat Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt. The Gunners are flying high at the top of the Premier League and with a busy schedule before the World Cup, Mikel Arteta might opt to rotate his squad.  Again they should get the job done against a Bodo/Glimt side who have given up the ghost in Eliteserien, where they trail Molde by a massive 15 points with just six rounds of fixtures left to play.
