Tanzania National Football team captain, Mbwana Ally Samatta has joined the Turkish Super league outfit, Fernerbahce on a season loan deal from English Premier League club Aston Villa with an optional of signing him on a 4 year permanent basis.

The pride of East African, Samatta has made only 16 appearances with 2 goals for The lion after eight months of stay since making his move from Genk was he mostly made the name for himself.
With the arrival of Burkina Faso forward at Villa park in the ongoing transfer window, Samatta was ever going to be deemed surplus.
Upon joining Fernerbahce, Sematta is happy as he expects a new challenge ahead of him with ever demanding supporters and hope to win trophies with the yellow canneries.
“I know how big a club Fernerbahce is, not only in Turkey a club known and weight in the world. I am happy to be here in such a family because it will be a new and big challenge for me. Fernerbahce has a lot of supporters and they always want to win. I also want to win. I came with this request, I am very happy and hope we will win many trophies.” Said Samatta.
The former Tout Puissant Mazembe top striker joins East African counter part and Uganda Cranes poster boy Miya Farouk in the Turkish league and as for Miya, turns out for Konyaspor FC.
The 27 year old, Mbwana Samatta has previously played for Simba sports Club back home, TP Mazembe, Genk and Aston Villa.
