Simba SC defeated Coastal Union FC (2-0) at Dar es salaam Stadium to seal off the fourth straight league title with two spare to end the 2020/21 Vodacom Premier League season.
John Bocco and Chris Mugalu scored for the Simba SC in 13th and 23rd minutes respectively.
Simba SC are 9 points clear off second placed Young Africans who are on 70 points from 32 games.
Uganda Cranes defensive midfielder, Taddeo Lwanga who have played a pivotal role in the guiding Didier Gomes’ coached side to League triumph, wins maiden title with Simba SC in his first season after joining them at the start of the season from Egyptian’s Tanta FC.
Lwanga started off the bench as Simba SC clinched their victory over Coastal Union.
Simba SC have equalised Young African’s number of league ttiles both now tied on 22 titles and remain the most successful clubs in Tanzania.
Simba SC has set a new record of winning four consecutive titles (2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21).
They have also a chance of winning double because already in the finals of the Tanzania Cup and playing Yanga.
