Swedish-based 19-year old Tito Nehema says that to represent Uganda will be a dream come true.
Born in January 2001, Tito went in Sweden in 2016 and has since had stints with IFK Österåker, Täby FK, IFK vaxholm, Åkersberga BK and Strömsbergs IF.
Tito’s parents – Job Semahirwe (RIP) and Patricia Nirere – came to Uganda from DR Congo to seek refugee.
[su_quote]He died in Uganda in 2005 when I was four years, I was staying in Hoima – I remember we used to play on sand barefooted, and its something I am proud of. [/su_quote]
Tito talks about his Dad in an interview with The-SportsNation.
[su_quote cite=”Tito Nehema”]I have no family there (Uganda), they live in the USA now. I haven’t returned yet but would be a dream to return playing for Uganda Cranes or the Under-20 hopefully. [/su_quote]
With DR Congo heritage, the forward says that he wants to represent Uganda instead because “am born there, I know the culture, language and I have never been in DR Congo.”
He confessed that he has been following Ugandan football including supporting the Cranes in the two Africa Cup of Nations which he watched.
He adds that is in touch with some KCCA and Vipers players via social media and has chatted with Devine Mirembe (Crested Cranes U17).

The youngster has held trials with Swedish top teams like IK Sirius, Djurgaden and IF Brommapojkarna.
On life in Sweden, he explains:
[su_quote]It has been really good, good country, football culture is great with many professional teams which gives me too much hope to be a pro in coming few years.[/su_quote]
[su_quote]In five years time, I want to see myself playing in one of the top five European leagues. I want to play in the best teams in Europe and I believe that will.[/su_quote]
