SUPER 8: Aliro scores a brace on debut as URA FC beat Bright Stars to storm Semis.

URA FC 2 – 1 Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

Wakiso Giants 0 – 2 KCCA FC.

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club needed two goals from new signing Moses Aliro to beat Soltilo Bright Stars FC to storm the semi finals of Fufa Super 8 in an entertaining encounter played at Metha Stadium. 

URA FC came from a goal down after the visitors went into an early lead through their poster boy Nordin Bunjo who finished off a good cross from Ashraf Mulindi in 5th minute.

Aliro, scored the leveler in 39th minute after receiving a through ball from Semujju to beat advancing Emmanuel Were to make it 1-1 before half time.

Sam Timbe’s coached side showed intent of getting the goal right away from the kickoff of second half, with creating several chances and in 78th minute, Aliro appeared on score sheet for a second time to make it 2-1.

Derrick Kiggundu could have brought the game back at level at a 90th minute mark but his effort hit a cross bar.

URA FC qualifies to Semi final and set a date with KCCA FC who also needed a brace from young star Abubaker Mayanja who was as well making his debut to beat Wakiso Giants who were hosting them in their own ground at Philip Omondi stadium.

URA FC, Otim (G.k), Begisa, Senjobe, Muliki, Najib, Lubwama, Aliro, Wamana, Mibombowa, Semujju and Tibita.

S. Bright Stars, Were(G.K), Tumwine, Omony, Warren, Kiggundu, Okwalinga, Bunjo, Kitimbo and Mulindi.
