Croatia are in pole position to book their place in the Nations League Finals but still have some work to do in Austria tonight to book top spot in Group A1.
A 2-1 win over Denmark on Thursday means a win guarantee top spot regardless of what happens between Denmark and France in Copenhagen. The Croats will have revenge on their minds following a 3-0 loss to Austria in the opening match of the campaign.
Since then the nations have gone in opposite directions with Austria now propping up the table having taken just one point from their subsequent four games. At 11/8 Croatia are worth a punt.
Wales will be desperate to avoid dropping out of the top tier of the competition and a win over Poland should be enough to keep them safe. But their squad is growing increasingly depleted and it could be a big ask without the likes of Ben Davies, Joe Allen, Aaron Ramsey, Harry Wilson and Ethan Ampadu.
That said, they’ve shown some grit this campaign and but for the loss of late goals against the Netherlands (twice) and in Poland they could be in a more promising position.
A Welsh win is 8/5 and with so many absentees Rob Page’s men will be as reliant as ever on Gareth Bale. He’s a similar pice (8/5) to add to his 40 international goals this evening.
Latvia look a good price at 4/5 to win away at Andorra. Don’t be fooled by the fact Andorra sit on seven points, six of those have come against Liechtenstein. The Latvians are a level above most of the teams in the bottom tier so should wrap up their promotion with a win in the mountains.
