Shafic Batambuze completes Kabwe warriors deal.

Uganda Cranes and former Tusker FC left back, Shafic Batambuze has joined FAZ Super League outfit, Kabwe warriors on two year employment contract.

“Kabwe warriors is pleased to announce the signing of Ugandan International left back Shafic Batambuze on from Gor Mahia.” Club’s statement on their Facebook page.

Batambuze was among several players that were released by Gor Mahia ahead of the new season last year and has been training with his home based UPL club, Busoga United his road to recovery from a lengthy knee injury.

At Kabwe warriors, he becomes the second Ugandan to sign for the Railmen after goalie Benjamin Ochan who is now plying his trade with AFC Leopards.

Shafic Batambuze has previously played for Tusker FC, Singinda United, SC Villa, Western Stima and Simba SC

The five times Super league Champions are occupying the 10th position on 15 points from 12 games.

Other Ugandans who are trading their services with Zambian clubs includes, Paul Musamali (Buidcon FC), Shafiq Bakaki (Nkana FC), James Aitho (Zanaco FC) and Yasin Mugabi (Red Arrows).
