SC Villa to hold fresh elections in November.

Sports Club Villa to hold fresh club elections next month of November which will usher in Club President and his Executive.

SC Villa was supposed to hold elections on 28th August 2021 before being aborted after Nambalirwa Kawuma seeking a court injunction to put on hold on the process of elections a day to the elections.

Again the Club Congress after convening in September they accepted to hold fresh elections on 23rd October which was against Board of Trustees wish and also flopped which led to FUFA revoking the 2021/22 season license.

So, after a successful Club Congress that was held at Serena Hotel Kigo yesterday, 23 October they agreed that new elections should  be held as soon as possible and the Trustee will Vet the candidates to avoid the what led to the flop of last elections.

The Congress was attended by, all board of Trustees members,  full paid up members, FUFA President Eng: Moses Magogo (FUFA President), Rogers Mulindwa (Head of Club license) and Dicola Kizza (Fufa Deputy CEO).

Below includes what the Congress agreed upon;

“That the trustees shall vet any candidate  vying for club president to guard against some of the issues that led to the flop of the last elections,”

“That the club shall hold elwelecti as soon as possible and very soon after the election club governing document shall be amended take into account the concern of members.”

As per FUFA’s directive elections should be held not later than 13th November, 2021.
