Uganda Premier League record champions (16), Sports Club Villa are set to unveil a mega sponsorship deal with leading Chinese Tyre manufacture company, Linglong tire.

The function is set to take place tommorow, 27th July, 2023 at Club’s President (Hajji Mandela Omar) owned placr, City Oil Gardens in Kamwokya.

Among the dignitaries invited to the ceremony are the Jogoo’s faithfuls.

The Linglong tire company representatives are already in the country ahead of the anticipated function.

The package is estimated to be worth 4.5 Ugandan billions shillings for a period of Five (5) years.

Part of the money is expected to cater for the construction of a proposed stadium for the club and rest go to paying players’ salaries.

SC Villa last had Startimes as their shirt sponsor, which was worth 1.3 Ugandan billions shillings for a period of Five years and deal ended prematurely with two years left on, in 2018 after fans forced out the club president Ben Missaga.

Linglong has previously worked with Italian Serie A giants, Juventus and German Bundesliga outfit, Vfl Wolfburg and they current the sponsor of Serbian Superliga top flight division.

SC Villa came close to ending their 19 year drought without a league title, only to squander a title to Vipers SC  on last day of 2022/23  after failing to beat URA FC.

Since then, they parted ways with technical team which was composed of Jackson Magera (Head Coach), Ibrahim Kirya (Assistant coach) and Robert Mukasa (Goalkeepers coach) and they have already appointed Serbian Dusan Stajanovic and will be assisted by Morley Byekwaso.
