Uganda’s most successful club, Sports Club Villa decides on Club President and Executive Board come 28th August 2021.
Robert Kiggundu, who is the chairman of Villa Electoral Committee in his press release of 7th August 2021, three people have confirmed their interest in running the club in the next four years.
Dennis Mbidde Sebugwawo, Medard Lubega Segona and Joseph Kizito are three people who have confirmed their interest.
The Villa Electoral Committee (VEC) will now embark on exercise of vetting the people to choose who will be contesting for the top position.
The preliminary declaration of candidates will be done next week on 10th August 2021 and final declaration on 14th August.
Dennis Mbidde Sebugwawo worked in the first year in the the Club Executive during the reign of Engineer Ben Missaga in 2014 as Vice President and served as FUFA 3rd Vice President representing the 16 Uganda Premier League clubs.
Medard Lubega Segona a city lawyer and the Member of Parliament for Busiro East but also a true in and out Villa fan.
He has been in August house since 2011.
Joseph Kizito who is working on the interim committee as Communication Secretary also wants to become the next Villa President.
The registration of Villa Members Trust is still on untill 25th August 2021 and the registered members by that time will be the ones legible to Vote the Villa President.
