Sports Club Villa have confirmed the signing of highly rated Uganda Cubs (U17) striker, Oscar Mawa.
Uganda Premier League record times holders unveiled Mawa via their official social media handles.
“I ’m happy to join one of the best clubs in Ugandan football and I can’t wait to get started, Mawa said in video released by the club media.
Mawa was the top scorer of 2020 U17 African Cup of Nations Championship zonal Qualifiers with six goals and two assists.
He guided the Cubs to the finals of 2021 U17 African Cup of Nations Championship which were slated to be hosted in MotoMor before being postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Mawa, has as well featured for U15 Uganda National football team which won the inaugral CECAFA U15 Championship and Gombe High school.
He has been playing for KCCA FC junior team.
SC Villa have so far unveiled six players ahead of the 2021/22 new season and these includes Fred Gift, Kenneth Semakula, Isma Mugulusi, Charles Bbale and Ali Bayo.
