Uganda Premier League club, URA FC has announced the untimely death of their head coach, Sam Timbe.
According the statement released by the club, the aforementioned coach was pronounced dead during the enroute to Nakasero Hospital for ICU on referral by St Catherine Hospital in Saturday’s afternoon.
“We are saddened to inform you of the unfortunate passing of our esteemed Head Coach, Sam Timbe, this afternoon while en route to Nakasero Hospital for ICU, as referred by St Catherine Hospital. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Currently, our team is in camp at Standard Hotel, Kampala, preparing for the upcoming FUFA Super 8 cup semi-final match against KCCA FC, scheduled tomorrow at the MTN Omondi Stadium. The decorated coach joined URA FC in 2021 to replace departed Sam Simbwa in capacity of head coach.
Timbe Will be most remembered for winning four titles of Cecafa Kagame Club championship with diffrent teams, the likes Villa, Police, Young African SC and Attraco of Rwanda.
