Rujumba 7s: Black Pearls Win Second Successive Circuit

The Black Pearls secured yet another triumph in the women’s category of the ongoing Nile Special 7s, emerging as champions in the Rujumba 7s.

The final saw them defeat the Avengers 12-10, capping off an impressive performance throughout the tournament.

With this latest victory, the Black Pearls continue to assert their dominance in the women’s category and solidify their position as the much more established side.

The Rujumba 7s marked the second successive circuit victory for the Bweyogerere based side, building on their earlier triumph at the Kitgum 7s circuit, where they defeated Thunderbirds 21-05 in the final.

They continue to top the women’s charts both as a team, and via individual accolades.

Emily Lekuru, tops the scoreboard with the highest tries scored and was also named the women’s MVP of the Rujumba 7s.
