Goalkeeper custodian Rogers Omedwa has officially extended his contract with Busoga United and will play for Abby Kimeko’s coached side untill 2022 to end all speculations that have linked him to several Uganda Premier League suitors.
“We are delighted to announce that Omedwa Rogers has today signed a new contract that keeps him with us for another 2 years.” Club wrote on their Facebook page.
Rogers Omedwa who also doubles as a professional Teacher for Geography and History subject has previously featured for the Kirinya Jinja SS School Team and guided Kireka FC to FUFA Big league.
His stay means, he reignites the competition with veteran Ali Kimera for starting birth between the goal posts for Busoga United, the goalkeeping department has already lost Benson Wagima who returned back Bright Stars.
Ali Kimera and South Sudan International player Debbo Julius have as well extended their contracts before and the Jinja based outfit has promoted Mubezi James to senior team as they try to gear up for the upcoming 2020/21 season which kick start on 20th November.
