Troubled Sports Club Villa team their woes surrounding the Club seems never to end soon, with Interim Committee heading into their third season which was meant to last for initial six months after Ben Missagga’s departure in 2018, things are not going on well at the club.
With the latest reports coming in indicates that their most arguably the best striker at the Club, Bashir Mutanda is on verge of existing the Club after asking his release letter from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Club Mr Shaun Mubiru.
And this site has reliably learnt that the goal machine, Mutanda is on verge machined joining the four times Uganda Premier league Champions, Uganda Revenue Authority after seeing of his two year contract with SC Villa.
URA FC have already expressed their interest in signing two of Villa players whose contracts have expired, Striker Bashir Mutanda and David Owori
Mutanda joined SC Villa in 2018 under Coach Moses Basena from Vipers SC as a free having played for Kirinya Jinja SS FC now ( Busoga United ) a season back on loan.
For the two seasons he has been at Villa park he has managed to score a total of 15 goals, 13, 2 goals for 2018/19 and 2019/2020 seasons respectively.
Players at the Club have gone several months without receiving their salaries which has been a norm at the club and some of them their contracts got expired and set to leave the Club after negotiations of extending their contracts got stalled on the way after failing to agree on financial details of the contracts.
Some of the players whose contracts have expired includes; Bashir Mutanda himself, Ambrose Kirya, David Owori, Albert Mugisha, Assuman Alishe, Amir Kakomo and Samuel Kivumbi.
