PSL: Dennis Onyango’s injury shows signs of improvement.

Uganda Cranes and Premier Soccer league side  Mamelodi Sundowns shot stopper, Dennis Masinde Onyango sustained a hip injury during the Maritzburg game that ended in a 2-2 draw on 21st August 2020.

And Onyango has gone ahead to miss the three consecutive games which includes back to back wins aginst Golden Arrows, Kaizer Chiefs and a loss against Baroka FC from which his understudy Kennedy Mwene has been in the goal posts.

From the Club medical report done today ahead of the Polokwane city game, has indicated that two of their own players who are nursing  injuries  in this case Onyango and cortzee are showing some signs of improvement.

“Onyango is nursing a hip injury and coetzee’s calf strain is on mend. The two players have shown signs of improvement.” Club statement on their website.

The Medics have as well confrimed more five injuries that were sustained in the Baroka FC game.

The strenuous schedule after the return of football has hit Mamelodi Sundowns and after the game against Baroka FC we can confirm that the following players will be going for scans to determine the extent of their injuries.

Vikazi (knee inury), Jali ( hamstring strain), Lebusa (hamstring strain), Sirino (ankle Injury), Phakamani (ankle injury).

Mamelodi Sundowns missed out on a golden opportunity to move a point or three points clear of the table leaders Kaizer Chiefs, should they have drawn or won against Baroka FC respectively.

Going into the last two games of the season, Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs are tied on points, 53 after 28 rounds of play and only separated by the goal difference of five goals.

Today 2nd September 2020, both teams  will be in action on match day 29, with Sundowns targeting  nothing more less than a win against Polokwane City to push the title decider on the final day.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will be hosting Chipa United.
