Uganda Cranes registered their first win in the Pre-mini Chan tournament taking place in Cameroon as they outclassed Zambia (2-0) in the game played at Annex 1- Omnisport.
Stylish Wakiso Giants forward, Vianne Sekajugo scored in 25th minute to give the Johnathan Mcknistry’s charges a lead in first half.
URA FC striker Steven Mukwala doubled Uganda Cranes lead in the second half to Uganda a 2-0 victory over Micho’s Zambia, who haven’t registered a win from the two games they have played.
Both countries didn’t win their first fixtures as all opted for draws, Uganda drew (1-1) with Cameroon and Zambia settled for 3-3 stalemate against Niger.
Only Tony Mawejje was the only player retained from the starting team that payed to a (1-1) draw with Intermediate of Cameroon.
The two goal scorers, Vianne and Mukwala plus Orit Ibrahim paved way for Shaban Muhammed, Joseph Ssemujju and Ben Ocen whose red card was overturned by the tournament organisers.
Meanwhile as the game grew for the final minutes, Karim Watambala was introduced in for Said Kyeyune.
Uganda Cranes will be wrapping up the tourney with a game against Niger on 7th January 2021 and Zambia will be playing the hosts Cameroon the same day.
