Police FC has defeated Onduparaka FC to earn promotion back to Uganda Premier League after two seasons in FUFA Big League.

Police FC needed to come from a goal down to edge Onduparaka FC in a game played a Kavumba Recreation ground on match day 26 of 2023/24 FUFA Big League season.

Jaffar Kerepi scored as early as 3rd minute to give visitors the lead.

Dennis Kalanzi levelled matters in 42′ to make it 1-1 before climax of first stanza.

With two minutes of play in second half, Steven Kabuye scored through header to put cops ahead.

Police FC managed to hold onto their lead to win the game and guarantee them a place in next season’s Uganda Premier League.

After 4th placed Kataka FC losing to Booma FC (1-0) in Masindi, meant that Police FC were ahead of them 8 points with two games remaining to end the season.

Police FC now leads a 15 team table log with 50 points, 3, 4 points ahead of 2nd and 3rd placed Lugazi FC and Mbale Heroes FC respectively.

The 2005 Uganda Premier League champions got relegated from topflight league in 2022 after 26 years of playing topflight football.
