After Pitso Mossimane overcoming the deadly Covid-19 pandemic, he returned on a touchline of the red devils with a massive 4-0 win against Al Itihad Alexandra in the Egyptian Premier League match day 3 of 2020/21 season on Monday. 28th December 2020.

But the loss didn’t go well with the former Pharaoh’s right back, Ibrahim Hassan Hussein who is now employed as a Football director at Al Itihad Alexandra.

Hassan said any coach can coach Al Ahly including a kits man and win trophies like Mossimane is doing. And if employed [Pitso Mossimane] in other team can only last for two games on the job.

“If Hareth [Al Ahly’s kit man] took charge of Al Ahly, he will win trophies,” Hassan quoted by Kingfut after the game.

“If we [Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan] took charge of Al Ahly we will win trophies. If Pitso coached any other team in the league, he will get sacked after two games.

“Al Ahly wasn’t good against us in the Egypt Cup nor in their last games nor in the CAF Champions League,” he added

Mossimane was appointed as Al Ahly Coach in September and became the first and so far only black African Coach to coach h Egyptian giants, in his short term period he has managed to register success of winning CAF Champions league by outwitting their arch rivals Zamalek SC in the finals after seven years of wait and winning the Egyptian Cup.

Pitso Mossimane

Since joining the Red Devil’s, Mossimane hasn’t lost a single game, garnering 13 wins and one ending in draw.

Former Sundowns gaffer has responded to Ibrahim Hassan’s comments saying maybe his argument can favourably apply on teams like Real Madrid or Man City.

“I respect his [Ibrahim Hassan’s] opinion. Maybe his statements suit clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City as well, but what I know that football does not work like that,” Mosimane said in his post-match presser.

“If it was like that so why didn’t Al Ahly win the Champions League in the past seven years?

“Being Al Ahly doesn’t mean we are automatically the winners of every game. We have to prepare for games and work hard to win,” he added.
