The wait is over for Express FC fans, as the very waited transfer of Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko is done and dusted as he pens a one year contract with Red Eagles.
Murushid Juuko was bound to join Express earlier on but due to his pending International Transfer Certificate (IT ) from Morocco delayed his unveiling.
Juuko is happy to be at Express FC and targets silverware with the team next season.
“Firstly i want to appreciate the CEO (Isaac Mwesigwa) and the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for making this happen, am happy to be here, Express is a big club and it’s current progress speaks for it’self and am sure we going to win silverware this season.”Juuko quoted by Club website.
The gaffer, Wasswa Bossa believes Murushid Juuko’s experience and discipline will help the Young ones in the team.
“We’re glad to have Murushid on the team, he’s experience speaks for it’self without a doubt, his discipline will help the youngsters in the team to become better.” Said Bossa
Juuko is expected to make a strong defensive partnership with newly appointed captain Enock Walusimbi.
Juuko has previously played for Entebbe Young FC, Entebbe Red Cross, Bunamwaya (now Vipers SC ), Victoria Unversity SC (defunct ) Simba SC (Tanzania), and Wydad Casablanca (Morocco).
Juuko long of players that have been unveiled by the six times league champions which includes Abel Eturude, Denis Otim, Cryspus Kusiima, John Byamukama, Faizal Sekyanzi, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Cryspus Kusiima, Ibrahim Kayiwa and Charles Musige.Kiraga Mustafa, Bakar Sakah, Bossa Richard, and Nsengiyunva Ivan.
