Miya Farouk’s Konyaspor appoints new Head Coach

Miya Farouk’s Konyaspor have appointed ilhan Palut, a Turkish born coach as their next manager for a period of one and half years, replacing his compatriot Ismail Kartal who was sacked following poor run of results.

‘İttifak Holding Konyaspor made an agreement with Coach İlhan Palut. Our General Treasurer Uğur Öncan and our coach İlhan Palut attended the signing ceremony held at the MEDAŞ Konya Metropolitan Stadium.’ club statement on their website.

‘Ersan Parlatan, Osman Demir, Bekir Arpacı, Çağatay Turan, Erkan Akkoç Hacı Çetin will work in the team of our coach İlhan Palut, who signed the 1.5-year.’

A 44 year old Coach (ilhan pulut) has been coaching Goztepe.

And has spent most of his coaching career with Hatayspor were he has worked as assistant manager, Sporting director as well as full manager.

Palut finds Konyaspor in 15th position with 24 points from 23 league games and have gone 5 games minus tasting a win, losing 3 and 2 ending in draws.

Konyaspor league victory last came a month ago (13th January 2021) when they managed to snatch a 2-1 home victory against Gaziantep FK.

Palut first game in charge of Konyaspor will be against troubled Beskitas tomorrow on 11th February 2021.

Miya Farouk in his second season in Turkish Super League has not been on well good compared to his debut season were he scored 8 goals and this season has been marred with injuries were he has missed 8 games before taking part in Beskitas (1-0) loss over the weekend and played 45 minutes.
