Miya advise to cranes newbies

Uganda cranes attacking midfielder, Farouk Miya has urged the new players on the team to believe in themselves since they have the potential to excel.

Miya was speaking this at the just concluded training camp in Dubai where the team has been on a training camp for close to a week that ended on Monday.

While there the players managed to bond and learn more about each other in preparation for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers. Miya emphasized to the freshmen that it’s a matter of hard work and believing in themselves that would enable them achieve alongside their potential to excel.

Besides Dennis Onyango whose club denied him clearance to attend the camp, Derrick Nsibambi who earlier had been summoned to attend the camp did not attend due to personal reasons.

The cranes returned safely from their Dubai camp 2 days ago aboard the Dubai Airlines.

The cranes now wait to play a double header against Sudan scheduled for the 9th and 17th. This game against South Sudan was supposed to be played in March but due to the covid outbreak it was postponed.

The Cranes are topping their Group,B with 4 points from two games. In second position is Burkina Faso then followed by Malawi and South Sudan is at the bottom. However South Sudan has a chance to make it to their third consecutive finals.
