Uganda Cranes goalkeeper, Mathias Kigonya has confirmed leaving the ice cream makers club, Azam FC after successful completing his two year contract.
He has used his Facebook page to announce his departure from the club.
“Following the expire of yhe two wonderful years at Azam fc my stage at this club wonderful club has ended.” Kigonya said in post.
“Indeed i have been very haply here..Azam has been a home and its been a pleasure to feature for this great and historical club. He addedd.
“As I say goodbye, I take this moment to thank the staff top to bottom, the players I have shared incredible memories with and the fans who took me in when at both low and high points, I thank you from bottom of of my heart. And I wish the club all the best.” He ended.
Mathias Kigonya joined Azam FC from Forest Rangers of Zambia.
Previously he has played for Soana FC, Bright Stars Fc and Sofapaka fc of Kenya.
Together with his compatriot, Nicolas Wadada Wakiro will not be playing for Azam FC come next season.
