The Joogo young product, Charles Lwanga ‘Neymar’ is delighted to score on his return to his boyhood club, despite SC Villa losing their opening game of 2023/24 season (1-2) against newly promoted sise, Kitara FC.
Lwanga scored the equalizer in 45th minute after canceling out Denis Omedi 15′ strike before Kabon Livingston leaving it late.
The young forward has been away from Nsambya side for the past two seasons after his unceremonious departure from the club over unpaid salaries.
“I am happy that I scored my first league goal this season despite the loss. We had a good display on pitch but luck was just not on our side. We’ve picked a couple of positives and we will head home to build on that and come back even more stronger.” said Charles Lwanga.
SC Villa will be making a short trip to play stubborn Maroons FC in Luzira on 24th September, 2023 in their next fixture.
