Uganda Cranes vice captain, Khalid Aucho has won his first title with Tanzanian giants, Young Africans after clinching NBC Premier League 2021/22 season with 3 games spare.
Yanga defeated Coastal Union (3-0) yesterday, 15th June 2022 to seal off this season League title and they are now 16 points adrift of second placed Simba SC with three games remaining.
Fiston Mayele grabbed a brace as Ushindi added one to his name to make 3-0 in a game played at Benjamin Mkapa stadium.
Khalid Aucho joined Yanga at start of the season as a free agent after being released by El Makhassa of Egypt.
Aucho is delighted on winning his first title with the ‘Citizens’.
“It is a good feeling to play a role and win the League title with a team I joined a few months ago,” added Aucho.
Young Africans has extended their record league titles to 28.
Yanga had gone 4 years without winning any League title.
Khalid Aucho has got a chance of winning the double this season as Yanga will be facing coastal Union in Azam Federation Cup final.
