KCCA FC targets maiden win against Vipers SC at St Mary’s Stadium.

KCCA FC will be traveling today, 17th March to face Vipers SC in a clash of supremacy as both clubs climax the first round of league at a ground Mike Mutebi’s charges have not tasted a win against home team.

Vipers SC will be hopping to use this game to find their winning touch again after falling 2-1 against URA FC in their last game where as KCCA FC will be targeting their first victory against Vipers SC at St Mary’s Stadium Kitende and close the gap on top of the table as we head into the second stanza of the league.

The last time these two teams faced at this ground the tie ended in a goalless draw.

Only 3 points are separating them, with Vipers SC in 3rd position with 30 points as KCCA FC comes in 4th position on 27 points.

This will be the 31st encounter between these two clubs since Vipers SC joined top-flight league in 2006 and each side has managed 11 wins and 8 draws.

*Vipers SC will miss out their team captain Halid Lwaliwa who is facing illness and Najib Yiga will not feature in this tie because of the injury he picked during U20-Afcon.

Rashid Toha and Paul Willa returns to team’s fold after missing their previous game because of accumulating a lot of yellow cards.

*KCCA FC will continue to miss the services of Filbert Obenchan, John Revita, Julius Poloto, Juma Balinya, Moses Aliro, Sam Senyonjo and Mazengo Stefano Loro who nursing their injuries.
