KCCA FC mutually agree to part ways with Nigerian star

KCCA Football on 23rd September 2020 mutually agree to partways with Nigerian striker with one year left on his contract.

“Yes, it’s true the club has mutually agreed with Odumwegu to terminate his contract. We thank him for his time at the club and wish him the very best in Future.” KCCA FC’s AS CEO Kirunga Micheal told Club website.

John Odumwegu joined Kasasiro boys last year in September 2019 on two year deal from Rivers United in Nigeria and his time came to an end at Lugogo, He had managed one goal against Maroons FC, in 3-1 victory score.

John Odumwegu cought the eye of Coach Mike Mutebi during the CAF Champions league stage games against Rivers United  and his performance  lured him to sign the Nigerian star  to replace Patrick Kaddu  who had left the club to join Moroccan RS Berkane.

Odumwegu follows the list of players who have departed KCCA FC and these includes the likes of Erisa Sekisambu, Sadam Juma, Lawrence Bukenya, Nunda Jackson, Eric Senjobe, Mike Mutyaba, Muzamir Mutyaba, James Begesa, Jamil Malyamungu, Tom Ikara and  Ibrahim Wammanah.
