Then the ‘Kasasiro boys’ management have went ahead to notify that they have hired Vipers SC home ground, St Mary’s Stadium for the tie.
“After an inspection of Stadiums in Uganda, CAF notified KCCA FC that MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo was not eligible to host this edition’s CAF games.” Reads statement from KCCA.
“CAF accredited St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende and deemed it fit to host CAF games.”
“KCCA FC then hired St Mary’s Stadium Kitende for the return leg game against AS Kigali that will be on Wednesday 6th January 2021, 1600 EAT.”
Late 2020, KCCA FC Stadium plans were approved by authorities and the club hopes to start construction of a modern, start of the art stadium early 2021
AS Kigali carries a 2-0 goal lead cushion ahead of the return leg because CAF cancelled the first leg which was supposed to take place in Kigali and awarded the hosts the win, reason being more than five players of KCCA FC tested positive of the Covid-19 disease and couldn’t raise a required number of players to play the game.
